Employee Is Killed in Fall Through Open Roof

At approximately 11:30 a.m. on October 27, 2005, Employee #1, a new employee, was part of a three person crew that was decking the open roof of a steel building using 29-ft by 3-ft corrugated steel. The building was 200-ft by 60-ft by 22-ft. Employee #1 fell 20 feet from the open roof to the concrete floor, striking his head, and killing him. No fall protection was provided by the employer.
