Employee Injured When Struck by Laminated Particle Board

On August 6, 2004, Employee #1 was manually transporting 10-ft sections of laminated particle board when one of the sections of board fell forward and struck him on the head. He sustained lacerations. Employee #1 was transported by ambulance to Carolinas Medical Center, where he received five sutures to close the injury and was then released to return home.
