Employee Is Injured When Struck by Forklift

On May 3, 2004, Employee #1, returning from break, exited the protected pedestrian way into the forklift aisle way, directly in front of a forklift, which was carrying an empty parts container. The forklift operator did not see Employee #1 and struck him with the container he was carrying. Employee #1 sustained a pulled groin muscle, as well as minor cuts and abrasions. He was taken to the hospital, where he was treated and released. He was placed on light duty for four days.
