Employee Is Killed in Fall from Tree

At approximately 6:18 a.m. on July 28, 2006, Employee #1 was wrapping a cloth bag around date bunches, when he fell approximately 50 ft from the date palm tree to the ground. Employee #1 was killed. Employee #1 was wearing a date palm saddle and two chain lanyards. There were no defects in the chains or date palm saddle, except the snaphooks attached to the chains were of the non-locking type.
