Employee Is Injured When Struck by Nail from Nail Gun

At approximately 2:00 p.m. on May 15, 2006, Employee #1, a part-time piece work stacker working for C. W. Construction, Inc., fired a 3.25-inch nail from his Hitachi NR 83 pneumatic nailer into his face, below his right eye. He was transported to Hemet Valley Regional Medical Center for emergency medical care. He was later transferred to Riverside County Regional Medical Center, where he was admitted for surgery and hospitalized for five days.
