Worker's Leg Is Injured When Struck by Forging Machine Die

At approximately 6:09 a.m. on December 1, 2005, a production worker sustained a penetrating wound to his right groin when an airborne forging machine die struck his right leg during the hammer cycle of a "Hammer" forge. The worker was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center where surgery was performed. The employee was hospitalized for approximately six days.
