Employee Suffers Hand Contusions When Caught in Machine

Employee #1 was troubleshooting the glue application system of the packaging machine by reaching over the guard and breaking the light curtain to stop the machine. As the glue head applicator was cycling back to home position, Employee #1's glove was caught on the top flap folder and glue applicator. Employee #1 crushed his right hand between the applicator and top flap folder. Employee #1 suffered a hand contusion but was not hospitalized.
