Employee Injures Neck When Struck by Forklift

At approximately 8:25 a.m. on January 5, 2005, an employee was unloading parts in the DYC 05T area. He was struck by a forklift. The forklift was being driven forward with a double load which obscured the driver's vision. The forklift operator crossed the marked driving area and proceeded into the parts area, at speed, hitting a dolly, which struck and the employee while loading parts. The employee was hospitalized and treated for neck injuries.
