Employee's finger is amputated in grinder

At approximately 12:10 p.m. on July 27, 2004, Employee #1 was grinding a steel bar (2-in. by 19-in. by 0.1875-in.) in a foundry shop. When the bar was pulled into the grinding wheel, his left gloved hand became caught between the bar and the wheel. Employee #1 was hospitalized for an amputation of his left little finger.
