Employee Suffers Burns When Clothes Catch Fire

Employee #1 spilled gasoline on his clothing and attempted to remove the gasoline from his clothing by lighting it on fire and quickly smothering the flames with his hand. The second time Employee #1 ignited his clothing he could not put out the fire. Employee #1 dropped to the ground and rolled into a mud puddle which also contained gasoline. Employee #1 was extinguished by a coworker. Employee #1 suffered burns to his back, legs and hands and was hospitalized.
