Employee's Finger Is Caught and Amputated in Cable Coil

At approximately 1:30 p.m. on January 19, 2006, Employee #1, of Los Angeles County Sanitation, was cleaning coaxial cable when his right ring finger caught between the coaxial cable and the roller guide. His finger was amputated. Employee #1 was not hospitalized. There was no guard or specific work method to prevent injury.
