Employee Falls from Scaffolding

At 10:05 a.m. on February 14, 2005, Employee #1 was working on the roof of a three-story, multi-family resort property, in Carlsbad, CA. Employee #1 was not notified by the employer that the scaffolding was to be dismantled, nor was he provided with a ladder. Employee #1 used the detached scaffolding to climb off of the roof. As he was climbing down an X-brace that was on the third story walkway, the scaffolding fell, causing him to fall 18 to 20 feet onto the walkway.
