Employee is injured in 25-foot fall from roof

On September 3, 2004, Employee #1, a carpenter, was sheeting the roof of a third story of a building that was under construction. He slipped on a piece of sheeting and fell approximately 25 feet to the ground. Employee #1 was hospitalized and treated for a fractured right arm and leg. The accident investigation revealed that Employee #1 was not wearing any form of fall protection and none was available on the side of the roof that he was working on.
