Investigation Summary
At about 1:30 p.m. on December 10, 2003, Employee #1 was working as a non-contract carpenter for Castillo Construction on a large, commercial storage building at the Edman Steel site in El Centro CA. He was sheeting a section of the roof, when he fell about 10 feet to the ground. He suffered leg and wrist injuries in the fall. He was hospitalized for his fractures. The initial report was that the roof trusses were not secured. Employee #1 did not substantiate this, and there were no eyewitnesses.
