Employee is injured after trench collapsed

On November 3, 2003, an employee was putting a saddle on a sewer line in a 12-ft-deep trench with no protective system when it collapsed. The employee managed to grab onto the ladder and get out but received injuries to his right side. He was hospitalized and treated for cuts and bruises.
