Employee died when struck by truck

On May 22, 2003, Employee #1, a solid waste operator, was attempting to collect solid waste material (lumber products) on the street at a resident's home. For some reason, he was struck by a solid waste vehicle, which was being operated by a coworker. Employee #1 was hospitalized at Moses Cone Hospital in North Carolina and pronounced dead due to injuries sustained.
