Employee Injures Eye While Removing Wires from Grape Vines

On September 8, 2006, Employee #1, a laborer, was working for an employer that provided farm labor to growers. While Employee #1 was cutting wire on grape vines, he suffered a puncture wound to his left eye. He was hospitalized and treated for his injury. The accident investigation revealed that Employee #1 was not wearing safety glasses.
