Employee Drowned When Vehicle Fell Into Water

An inoperable vehicle (car) was being towed on the pier by a pickup truck. A tow rope had been attached to the rear of the pickup truck and then attached to the front of the car. Employee #1 was in the car as it was being towed. As the pickup truck turned right on the pier the tow rope came off of the inoperable car and the car went over the side of the pier into 30 ft of water. Employee #1 drowned.
