Employee killed in fall from scaffold

At approximately 10:30 a.m. on November 28, 2002, Employee #1 was installing drywall in the living room of two-story single family home under construction. He finished the last piece of drywall on one wall and was in the process of climbing down the ladder of the scaffold when, at the 7-foot 11-inch level, his foot slipped off of the rung and he fell backward striking his head on the concrete slab floor. The employee was transported by helicopter to Fairfax Hospital where he died the next day from his injuries.
