Employee Slips from Ladder and Breaks Leg

At approximately 9:30 a.m. on January 26, 2006, Employee #1, a carpenter working for Lawren E. Page (a subcontractor) in Long Beach, CA, was involved in a remodeling job at a family residence. He was climbing a ladder as he was attempting to fix the wood work of the house, at roof level. He slipped and fell, suffering a broken leg. He was taken to Torrance Memorial Hospital for treatment, where he remained until the next day. The employee returned to his residence for recovery and therapy.
