Employee fractures hip from fall

On December 24, 2003, Employee #1, an office clerk for an importing company, walked from the company office to a nearby post office to mail a letter. It was very crowded at the post office. As Employee #1 walked through the post office parking lot, a car moved suddenly, causing him to fall. The car did not strike him and Employee #1 continued to work, as normal, the rest of the day. The next day, Employee #1 complained of a pain in his left hip and was examined by a doctor, determining that he had fractured his hip. Employee #1 was hospitalized, where he underwent surgery on his left hip. He was released five days later.
