Investigation Summary
At approximately 09:00 a.m. on December 23, 2002, Employee #1, a dry wall contractor, was installing dry wall in a home on a construction site. After lunch, he traveled back to his morning worksite to obtain tools for repairing a kitchen's dry wall. Using a 6-ft-ladder, he stepped up to a 39-in.-high sink counter. As he placed his foot on the counter, he slipped and fell backwards. He struck the ground suffering blunt head trauma, right flank contusions and a right rib fracture. Emergency medical personnel were summoned, and transported him to a medical center. At the medical center, he was hospitalized for a total of three days.
