Firefighter Is Killed When Rescue Truck Strikes Tree

At 8:24 a.m. on Sunday, April 17, 2005, Employee #1 was working as a firefighter, when his firehouse received a call to respond to a motor vehicle accident. After Employee #1 left the station with the heavy rescue truck, it was discovered that he had been dispatched to the wrong location and that another rescue company was responding. As he was returning to the firehouse, the rescue truck left the right side of the road without skid marks and struck a tree. The cause of death for Employee #1 was blunt force trauma.
