Employee found unresponsive and later dies

On May 23, 2004, Employee #1, a materials testing specialist, went to work on his day off to finish working on a project. The employee went to work on his own accord and told no one, other than his wife, where he was going. When his wife could not reach him later that evening, a coworker was sent to investigate and found Employee #1 unresponsive at his desk at approximately 11:35 p.m. The Albany County Coroner pronounced Employee #1 dead at 1:35 a.m. on May 24, 2004.
