Employee Is Killed in Fall from Elevated Work Platform

At approximately 12:35 p.m. on May 7, 2002, Employee #2 was on the elevated platform of narrow-aisle vehicle #248, pulling an order of material from a 50-ft-high shelf. For an unknown reason, Employee #2 fell from the work platform onto the concrete floor. Emergency responders were summoned and arrived within approximately 5 minutes, but they were unable to revive Employee #2. Employee #1 was not injured.
