Employee catches finger between table slot

At approximately 3:00 p.m. on June 4, 2003, an employee of Newport Custom Woodworking was using an edge banding machine, when his index finger was caught between the material and a slot on the table. The moving block caused his finger to be avulsed with loss of fingernail. There was no amputation and he was not hospitalized.
