Employee is killed when struck by row of shopping carts

On May 26, 2002, Employee #1 was leaving the store at the end of his work day. He was exiting the building when an off-duty coworker driving in the parking lot lost control of his automobile and struck a row of shopping carts. The shopping carts struck Employee #1, crushing him against the wall of the building. Employee #1 died on the way to the hospital.
