Employee Is Injured When Struck by Conveyor Arm

At approximately 3:00 p.m. on July 15, 2003, Employee #1 was exiting the paint area of a conveyor system when he activated the system to lower the conveyor arm. As the arm was lowering, he bent over to pick up a hose and was struck by the arm, pinning him between the arm and a drive chain gear. He sustained a crushed eye socket, a concussion, and several lacerations and was hospitalized.
