Employee Falls From Ladder

At approximately 12:00 p.m. noon on March 28, 2003, Employee #1 was performing maintenance work and cleaning from a ladder. No witnesses observed Employee #1, but one employee said that he heard a noise and went to assist. He said that Employee #1 had fallen from the ladder. Employee #1 finished his work for the day and went home. He called in sick for the next two days. The day after, he went to a local hospital emergency room for treatment and was released the same day. He later returned to the hospital with breathing difficulties. At that time, surgery was performed on his leg. He was diagnosed with Necrotizing Fasciitis (soft tissue gangrene). He then was transported to another hospital, where he later died.
