Employee Drowned in Canal

On March 18, 2001, Employees #1 through #3 were working as laborers for Downhole Explosive Technology. They were assigned the task of getting one and two inch pipe and fittings from the warehouse and scrap pile and loading the material onto a crew boat to be taken to the well location. At approximately 11:45 a.m., Employee #1 was working near the end of the dock and fell into the canal between the crew boat and the shore and drowned. The water depth at this location was approximately 2 to 3 feet deep.
