Employee Injured When Aerial Lift Boom Collapsed

Employees of a tree trimming service were tasked to remove limbs from tress that were adjacent to power lines. Employee #1 was operating from a truck mounted aerial lift at a height estimated to be approximately 20 ft when the bolts attaching the base of the boom to the truck-mounted pedestal failed. Several bolts holding the base of the truck mounted aerial lit failed, causing the boom of the lift to become dislodged from its pedestal base and collapse. Employee #1 suffered bruises, abrasions, and contusions but was not hospitalized
