Investigation Summary
Employees #1 through #4 were attaching trusses at an elevated height. The wind measured 13 to 17 miles per hour with gusts up to 23 miles per hour. The wind blew over the trusses causing the employees to fall. Employee #1 sustained a concussion, Employees #2 and #4 sustained a fractured foot and Employee #3 sustained fractures to his back. All four employees were hospitalized for their injuries. Proper truss bracing was not used and all employees were not trained in fall protection.
