Employee killed when street sweeper rolls over

On December 20, 2002, Employee #1 was operating a Lay-Mor SweepMaster 8C street type sweeper without using a seatbelt. The employee was ejected from the vehicle when he attempted to make a U-turn at a high rate of speed, causing the sweeper to roll over on its right side. Employee #1 was killed when his head hit the pavement. The sweeper was equipped with a roll over protection device.
