Employee killed in a fall from a ladder

Two employees were in the process of installing a sign in front of a theater. Employee #1 was standing on an 8-foot tall stepladder, at about the 4-foot level from the ground, and was using a drill to open the holes where the retaining bolts were to be installed. While pressing on the drill, Employee #1 fell off the ladder and onto the concrete floor or sidewalk, hitting his head and back on the ground. Employee #1 suffered internal injuries that caused him to collapse two days later, due to internal bleeding. Employee #1 was pronounced dead upon arrival at a local hospital.
