Investigation Summary
Employee #1 lost both of his legs when he climbed inside a cardboard compactor while the ram was still in operation. Employee #1 was attempting to crush down the cardboard as the ram pushed the board toward the container. Employee #1 became caught in the cardboard compactor as the ram met the top of the board container. Employee #1's legs were both severed above the knee. He went to a local hospital for treatment.
