Employee's arm amputated when caught between brushes

On March 15, 2001, Employee #1 was caught in the conveyor system. Employee #1's right arm became entangled in the brush and the conveyor of the Magic Carpet, Easy Rider ski-lift. The lift was used on the "bunny slope." Employee #1 sustained amputation of his right upper arm and was hospitalized. Lockout and tag out was not utilized when Employee #1 attempted to remove snow from the brushes of the system.
