Killed unloading marble slabs

On September 20, 2001, Employee #1, along with several other employees were unloading marble slabs from a closed sided trailer. There were eleven slabs, weighing approximately 500 pounds, stacked vertically against the left side of the trailer. The employees removed the bracing around the slabs and began to remove them one by one, to the rear of the trailer. Employee #1 and another employee stood in front of the slabs to brace the stack while individual slabs were being removed. While bracing, the stack shifted and fell over on top of Employee #1, killing him.
