Employee's Fingers Amputated in Machine

Employee #1 was operating a Staltex seal wrapping machine for packaging wire coils. He was attempting to free the sealer bar of the machine that had ceased on its slide bars. He did not receive training in adjusting the sealer bar or warned not to open the plastic doors when making the adjustments. Employee #1's fingers were caught by the sealer bar resulting in an amputation to his fingers. Employee #1 was hospitalized for his injuries.
