Employee's hand crushed by falling air handler

On October 19, 2000, Employee #1, of Streimer Sheet Metal Works, Inc., was enagaged in the installation of an HVAC or similar unit. He was working near a materials handling unit when an air handling device fell off the lift truck and crushed his hand against the concrete pad where he had been working. Employee #1 suffered injuries that required hospitalization.
