Two employees injured in fall when scissor lift overturns

Employees #1 and #2 were using a scissor lift to install 2 in. by 6 in. by 10 in. metal tracks to the ceiling of a building under construction. The track was being installed directly over an identical track on the floor. They had already installed 40 ft of track when they moved the lift and drove the right front tire into an approximately 2 1/2 ft square hole that was 3 1/2 ft deep. The lift overturned and Employees #1 and #2 fell 16 ft 3/4 in. to the ground. They sustained head lacerations that required sutures, and multiple contusions over their bodies.
