Employee injured when finger amputated by saw blade

On April 14, 2000, Employee #1 was feeding a double-end tenoner saw. After a short while the waste material had piled up under the saw blade. Employee #1 reached under the saw to clear the area out and contacted the saw blade, severing the little finger on the right hand and cutting to the bone the other fingers on that hand. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
