Three employees killed, five injured in explosion and fire

On March 5, 2000, Employees #1 and #2 were working in the core department, Employee #3 was working at the knockout line, and Employees #4 through #8 were working nearby. An explosion occurred in the basement below the core department and knockout line. Employees #1 through #3 were killed; Employees #4 through #8 sustained injuries that required hospitalization.
