Employee Dies When Pulled Into Rotating Part Of Auger

Employee #1 was cleaning an auger while it was still running and died when he sustained a deep laceration across his chest after being pulled into the rotating part of the auger. He was using a water hose to clean the auger. The auger used was a Pavematic Form Riding Paver. The Model Number was FP-3200. During the cleaning process, the hose and Employee #1's jacket became entangled in the rotating auger pulling him into the rotating part. Employee #1 died when he sustained a deep laceration across the chest.
