EMPLOYEE BURNED BY HOT WATER RELEASE FROM PUMP

A maintenance employee was inspecting a dirty sump pump that was not pumping. When he opened the priming port cap, hot water sprayed onto him. The employee suffered second-degree burns over 27 percent of his upper body. He was hospitalized for his injuries.
