Event: 09/28/1998
BURN - ELECTRICAL FAULT IN SWITCHGEAR

Two employees (employees #1 and #2) were performing planned maintenance on some switchgear when an apparent electrical fault occurred. The fault burned the two employees and started a fire. Employees #1 and #2 suffered first- and second-degree burns. They were hospitalized for their injuries. Employees #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8, and #9 suffered smoke inhalation. They were treated at a hospital and released later that evening.
