Investigation Nr: 201040532
Event: 07/04/1998
Employee killed in fall from interior wall

At approximately 10:15 a.m. on July 4, 1998, Employee #1 and a coworker were installing trusses from the top plate of an interior wall. The 12 trusses were stacked on the middle of the wall. The workers set the first six trusses and secured them. They then began to lift the other six trusses and rest them against the sides of the secured trusses. They had already picked up four of the trusses and were starting on the fifth when Employee #1 lost his balance and fell onto the concrete floor. He sustained a fractured neck and other head injuries, from which he died.
