Employee Injured by Nail Gun

Employee #1 and a coworker, both forklift operators of Commercial Lumber and Pallet, were taking a break in the area where a Bostitch 712 MAX pneumatic nail gun had been left unattended. The coworker picked up the nailer at approximately the same time that Employee #1 raised his knee. Employee #1's knee made contact with the nailer and a nail was discharged into Employee #1's left knee. Employee #1 was hospitalized in Citrus Valley Medical Center for treatment of the foreign body in his knee.
