EMPLOYEE'S CHEST FRACTURED WHEN FORKLIFT TIPS OVER

On March 10, 1998, Employee #1 was operating a rough terrain forklift on a side hill adjacent to a structure. As Employee #1 was operating it with the boom in the air, the forklift tipped over to the side. Employee #1 fell from the cab and sustained injury to the chest by the overhead protection. Employee #1 was able to get out from under the structure since the boom had landed on a parked car. The paramedics immediately responded from their station across the street and Employee #1 was taken to the hospital.
