Employee injures leg when struck by truck

At approximately 1:00 p.m. on June 10, 2004, Employee #1 was working at an exit booth at International Terminal Services (ITS) in Long Beach, CA. A truck stopped at the booth with a ticket and asked a question. The employee took the ticket, answered the question, and told the driver to re-enter the yard. The employee exited the booth, walked down the ramp, and stepped between two trucks that were in line at the adjacent booth. He was then struck by one of the trucks as it moved forward to the booth. He suffered injuries to his leg and was hospitalized.
