Employee Fingertip Amputated in Press

On June 8, 2004, as a machine operator activated the foot pedal of a press brake to bring down the blade, Employee #1, the operator's helper, pulled a piece of metal away from the press blade. Employee #1's right index finger tip was severed by the blade. The employee was hospitalized.
